Study of a class of conflict resolution strategies for synchronous multiprocessor interconnection networks
The performance of a circuit switching baseline interconnection network for multiprocessor systemsis studied under a class of hybrid conflict resolution strategies. These where introduced in order to bridge the gap between the drop and hold strategies. Performance criteria are introduced which give a better description of the network operation and conclusions are given of their dependencies on the operational characteristics of the network. The analysis is made for both the Regeneration and the more realistic Resubmission models.
