| dc.description | The ultimate goal is the environmental upgrading of coastal settlements of southwestern Pelion, by formulating propositions for the unification of places, spaces and green areas, aiming at the improvement of living conditions, all within the framework of the sustainability of settlements. The effort refers to a plan for space allocation and upgrading of forms, as well as the internal functioning of the settlement itself and in conjunction with the rest, since no single settlement is autonomous and independent, but a living part of a whole. Each settlement, placed within a broader land-planning context, receives and offers and services, thus constituting a vital part of an organism. This project explores the visible and invisible relations inside this grid, so as to propose a redesigning of networks services -places - spaces. It aims at setting conditions to achieve a maximum degree of upgrading through a planning process which will include environmental criteria. Besides, the improvement of living conditions is indissoluble from the protection of the environment and the respect of the principles of sustainable development. Therefore, the demand for the upgrading of existing settlements can offer an opportunity for the inclusion of the principles of sustainable development to their design, as well as for the application of bioclimatic practices. | en_UK |
| dc.description.abstract | Με απώτερο σκοπό την περιβαλλοντική απόκριση των παραλιακών χωριών του νοτιοδυτικού Πηλίου, διατυπώνονται προτάσεις ενοποίησης τόπων, χώρων και πρασίνου, ώστε να επιτευχθεί η βελτίωση των συνθηκών οίκηση στα πλαίσια της αειφορίας των οικισμών. Το εγχείρημα αναφέρεται τόσο σε θέματα διάταξης χώρων και αποκατάστασης μορφών, όσο και στην λειτουργική, του ίδιου του οικισμού αλλά και σε σχέση με τους υπόλοιπους, αφού ο καθένας δεν είναι αυτόνομος και ανεξάρτητος, αλλά ένα λειτουργικό κομμάτι ενός συνόλου. Ο κάθε οικισμός, ενταγμένος σ' ένα ευρύτερο χωροταξικό πλαίσιο, δέχεται και προσφέρει αγαθά και υπηρεσίες ώστε να αποτελεί ζωτικό κομμάτι ενός οργανισμού. Οι εμφανείς και αφανείς σχέσεις αυτού του πλέγματος προσδιορίζονται, ώστε να προκύψει ενας επανασχεδιασμός δικτύων-εξυπηρετήσεων- τόπων - χώρων. Σκοπός είναι να τεθούν οι όροι, προκειμένου να επιτευχθεί η μέγιστη αναβάθμιση μέσα από ένα σχεδιασμό που εμπεριέχει περιβαλλοντικά κριτήρια. Άλλωστε, η βελτίωση των όρων διαβίωσης συνδέεται άρρηκτα με την προστασία το περιβάλλοντος και του σεβασμού των αρχών της αειφορίας. Έτσι η απαίτηση για αναβάθμιση των υφιστάμενων οικιστικών περιοχών μπορεί να αποτελέσει ευκαιρία για την ενσωμάτωση στον σχεδιασμό τους, των αρχών της αειφόρου ανάπτυξης και της εφαρμογής βιοκλιματικών πρακτικών. | en_UK |
