| dc.description | Two decades of research gave birth to a new tool in the hands of engineers. This is a computer program that uses the latest technologies available, and allows the designer to inspect his data and interpret his results through simple observation in a stereoscopic virtual world. It is a tool for research, perception, verification of intuition, learning and self-instruction. Here, this new technology is used for the analysis of the seismic behavior of buildings made from reinforced concrete. The influence of the shear walls geometry and distribution in the seismic response of buildings is shown in a representative way, the relation of the centres of mass and elastic rotation with the relative seismic shifts is verified, the vertical distributions of seismic accelerations and seismic forces are formed and inspected and the scientific knowledge is clearly established. | en_UK |
| dc.description.abstract | Δύο δεκαετίες έρευνας οδήγησαν στην γέννηση ενός νέου εργαλείου στα χέρια των μηχανικών. Ενός προγράμματος, δηλαδή, ηλεκτρονικού υπολογιστή που χρησιμοποιεί τις διαθέσιμες σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες, και που δίνει την δυνατότητα στον μελετητή να επιθεωρεί τα δεδομένα του και να αντιλαμβάνεται τα αποτελέσματά του με απλή παρατήρηση σε ένα στερεοσκοπικό εικονικό κόσμο. Πρόκειται για ένα εργαλείο έρευνας, ενόρασης, επιβεβαίωσης της διαίσθησης, εκπαίδευσης και αυτοεκπαίδευσης. Εδώ, η νέα αυτή τεχνολογία χρησιμοποιείται σαν εργαλείο αντισεισμικού σχεδιασμού κτηρίων από οπλισμένο σκυρόδεμα. Διαπιστώνεται παραστατικά η επιρροή τόσο της γεωμετρίας όσο και της κατανομής των τοιχίων στη σεισμική συμπεριφορά των κτηρίων, επιβεβαιώνεται η σχέση κέντρου μάζας και ελαστικής στροφής με τις σχετικές σεισμικές μετατοπίσεις, μορφώνονται και παρατηρούνται οι καθ’ ύψος κατανομές των σεισμικών επιταχύνσεων και σεισμικών δυνάμεων και επιβεβαιώνεται με σαφήνεια η επιστημονική γνώση. | en_UK |
