dc.description.abstractThe increasing world supply of immigrant investor programs (Golden visa and Cash-for-citizenship programs), exchanging residency rights or citizenship for a substantial investment into the economies of the granting countries is triggered by a sizeable demand from prospective wealthy individuals of non-European crisis-torn regions as well as regions with growing private wealth (like China). The motivating factors for such individuals range from the desire to establish more secure and fast business or/and family settlement abroad, protection from economic and political turmoil at home, accessibility to visa-free travel, wish to reside in a low-tax jurisdiction, etc.en_UK
